Wintersongs

Description

This disc is a collection of the most beloved songs performed at Kitka's Wintersongs concerts over the last three years. The material ranges from rousing Slavic folk carols and lush, meditative Eastern Orthodox sacred choral works, to pre-Christian incantations for the longest nights of the year and Hebrew folks songs for Chanukah. Recorded in the world famous acoustic environment of Skywalker Studios by Leslie Ann Jones and produced by Linda Tillery, guest artists include Peter Maund on percussion, Rumen Shopov on tambura and bouzouki and Dan Cantrell on accordion.
