Description
After W. C. Handy's 'St. Louis Blues,' New York City's Tin Pan Alley jumped on the blues bandwagon. This disc collects 18 sides from 1915-1925 by vaudeville stars and early blues and jazz performers. The selections on this CD are a cross section of performances by both blakc and white recording artists. They are as fresh today as they were when you could buy them at your local record shop for about 75 cents.
