Reissue producer Michael Cuscuna discovered 2 early takes of "Blue Train" and "Lazy Bird," which shed new light on the creative geniuses of the date: Coltrane (tenor sax), Lee Morgan (trumpet), Curtis Fuller (trombone), Kenny Drew (piano) and Philly Joe Jones (drums). Add to that an enhanced interactive segment (with interviews, music and historical data), 20-bit remastering and great packaging, and this masterpiece is reborn.
