Rod Richmond's soulful ballads, uplifting patriotic songs, and fun-loving, upbeat dance songs have been enjoyed from coast to coast here in the United States and overseas. Rod has played from New York to California and points between.Rod's personal musical accomplishments include numerous appearances in the Colgate Country Showdown, Capitol Records "Road To Nashville" Contest, playing Nashville Writer's nights with countless great writers. Rod's debut album: Star In The Window is a culmination of many years work in terms of writing, arranging, and recording. He has spent two years at Cupit Studio In Nashville perfecting the songs. He states he 'couldn't be happier', and is very proud of the finished product. The album was released May 17, 2009 on the Red White and Blue Records label. One dollar from every CD sold is donated to the American Gold Star Mothers. Rod is originally from Northern New York. He grew up in farm country, hunting, fishing. Rod joined the army at seventeen and spent four years active duty. He then remained in the Army Reserve and National Guard for the remainder of his military career. He has competed on the US National Guard International Combat Shooting Team as well as the New York State National Guard Shooting Teams. Rod says that his wife Betty is the heart and soul of his music. She has been his manager for two years. He says the partnership they have is the key to his success. He has one son, Arthur, who has also been a tremendous source of inspiration and motivation for him both in writing and performing. Rod has been a volunteer firefighter and paramedic for many years. He says it makes him proud to be associated with so many who give so much of themselves. Rod fronted the very hot band WHITETAIL who tore up the music scene in Northern New York for several years years. The Livin In The USA album is some of Rod's finest work.
