The CD is replete with soapy ballads like "You Made a Liar Out of Me" and "Ordinary Life" and party-time pop such as the Cajun-tinged, girl-at-the-lake-themed "Evangeline" and the jangly "Bingo Bull's-Eye" (sample lyric: "It's the right girl, the right guy, bingo, bull's-eye"). Chad Brock might be instantly digestible, but his music is about as exotic as mom's meatloaf.
