Description

"Throw Down Your Heart" follows American banjo virtuoso, Bela Fleck, as he journeys to Africa to look for the roots of the banjo, and to record an album there. Along the way, Fleck interacts with several African musicians and explores the history of the instrument that goes back to slave trading days in West Africa. The film shows how music can universally communicate when words fail.
