Finding Graceland

Description

Bereft since his beloved wife died in an accident involving his '59 Cadillac and a train, medical student Byron Gruman (Johnathon Schaech has dropped out of life, taking refuge in wandering the back roads of America's heartland. At a desert truck stop; a drifter (Harvey Keitel) who claims to be Elvis latches onto Byron, trying to negotiate a ride to Graceland, the legendary Memphis home of Elvis Presley. Though reluctant to keep company with this weirdo who looks nothing like the King, eventually even Byron can't deny the irresistible persistence and worldly wisdom of his newfound traveling companion. After a series of serendipitous events, including meeting Marilyn Monroe impersonator Ashley (Bridget Fonda) gives him a new outlook, they head for Graceland, where Byron's real journey might just be starting.
