Description

In late-'50s Pittsburgh, middle-aged trashman and one-time Negro Leaguer Troy Maxson (Denzel Washington) remained bitter that he never got his shot... and his lingering resentments might drive a wedge between him and the teenage son (Jovan Adepo) with a legitimate shot at a football scholarship. Washington directs and reprises his Tony-winning performance; August Wilson adapted his Pulitzer Prize-winning play for the screen. Viola Davis, Mykelti Williamson, Russell Hornsby, Saniyya Sidney also star.
