BIOGRAPHY Chivon Lovely, also known as, Queen is a rap music (unsigned) artist, known for her funky gangster lyrics, she educates in rhymes a wealth of knowledge to all peer groups. Having been raised in the heart and soul of Kansas City, Missouri, she honed her rap skills, "on the mean streets", as she explains, "it's where I was inspired at". Sounding like a preacher and giving hope to enthusiastic fans, her love for rap music, "no doubt" is genuine. Spoken words with conviction, she is highly sought after by many producers. "Chivon Lovely is a true artist", her unique mobstress rap combined with unique and original music compositions selections will keep fans in ah. Some of her musical influences include; Biggie, Mary J. Blige, Nina Simone, Miles Davis, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, the Roots, Lauryn Hill and the Fugeess. Chivon Lovely got her initial thirst for performing at the legendary 18th and Vine Historic Jazz District at the age of 14, in Kansas City, Mo., and competing at open mic venues across the midwest belt, knocking out countless competitors. She was voted, the People Choice Lyricist in 2005 and has performed alongside such greats as Taye Diggs and Phyllis Yvonne Stickney at the American Jazz Museum. She spends her spare time as poet in residence for an urban transcendence program and facilitates workshops for 'at risk" inner city youth. Chivon Lovely simply known as "Queen" in her hometown has achieved notoriety and is well respected by the hip hop arena for being real, raw, and with flavor, as she says, "giving you the truth even when it hurts". She has created a frenzy with each show, captivating audiences with her performances, has the show-me-state buzzing with excitement.
