The game includes over 50 different vehicles ranging from classic Model T to modern cars to futuristic concept vehicles and 26 different courses. Plus, there are speed boosts on the tracks to allow even the biggest, slowest car to hit 75 mph or more. The tracks range from high-mountain peaks to dusty back roads to highways, and each can be raced forwards or backwards. Cars drive differently on the different terrain, of course, and some areas feature realistic environment effects like dust clouds or snow flying up behind cars. These tracks are the heart of the single-player Ford competition mode, which puts racers in 1 of 14 tournaments to claim the top spot. Ford Challenge is the other main single-player mode, requiring players to complete certain conditions such as avoiding crashes or overtaking another car.
